Wahoo! The current weather and river level predictions tell me that Saturday is going to be a very busy day. My driftboat is still rigged up to be a power boat, so I will have to get all the the honey-do lists complete, help my oldest daughter move and visit with one of my wife’s visiting friends all before I can re-rig my boat and gear for upper river fishing on Sunday. It was time to make the change over anyway. Take a look at the chart below and you’ll see why I need to hurry and get out there.

My Favorite Oregon Coastal River Level.
I’ll have pictures and reports for every one on Sunday Night.
Bill Monroe (ex-super-outdoor-column-writer) just leaked the info that our buddy Governor K is going to choose some one besides most sports fisherman’s choice of Stan Steele (Former game cop and current fishing guide) to head ODFW. The governors choice is the current manager of the Coos Bay-North Bend Water Board, Rob Schab… Worse yet, the current rumor is that his choice has nothing to do with supporting any particular users group, but more about preparing for his life as a lobbyist after his term is over (Schab’s family has heavy labor union ties?)…. Let’s hope that Schab is a stand up guy. Anyone know the guy personally care to comment? I’ve got family that might know him. time to see if there is any hope for him. In the meantime, please put pressure on the senate to get the word to the Gov that it would be in his best interest to choose a pro-sports fishing guy for this job..
